Why Waiting Is Not an Option

Across the U.S., educators are grappling with practical implementation of comprehensive annual teacher evaluation programs. As we work to assess instructional effectiveness across a variety of systems, it is important to have a shared vision of what good teaching looks like.

Join the Education Alliance of Michigan January 24, 2012, to develop a shared understanding of the complex elements involved in reviewing effective classroom instruction.  Hands-on activities and discussion are the order of the day, with skilled teachers and piloting districts sharing an inside look at their work.  Leading researcher Stephen Fink from the University of Washington also will be on hand to explore research-based methods for assessing performance.
